Texas Dahlia Quilt

I loved the dahlia pattern from the first time I saw a picture of it in a quilting magazine. Several years passed while I improved my skills in piecing and tried to decide on a color scheme or theme. Then in another magazine I saw a picture of an Australia theme quilt. Loving both Austin,Texas, where I lived and Australia where I had visited, I began collecting Texas theme fabrics. In 2008 I pieced it and after moving to Tennessee, was fortunate to find Alice Boothe who quilted it for me. My niece, Theresa, will be pleased as I am with this quilt.

That patter of colors looks so great as there's a wonderful theme behind all that. We can create these patterns if we know very well about crafting of these themes and working with colors.

Your methotical efforts and time show with this quilt. Great job to the piecer as well as the quilter! This is a true 5-star!
